The Library has biographies of women for all ages, individual ones as well as collections. Use the button below to see a list of books and a PDF you can print.
For children
Biographies include Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, as well as Deb Haaland (former U.S. Cabinet Secretary), Ruby Bridges, Amelia Earhart, Anne Frank, Rosa Parks, Sadako, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Malala Yousafzai, and Wangari. There are also a number of biography collections.
For teens
Biographies include Maya Angelou, Marian Wright Edelman, Anne Frank, Winona LaDuke, Mother Teresa, Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, and Harriet Tubman. There are also a handful of biography collections for this group as well.
For adults and teens
Biographies include Maya Angelou, clergywomen of our presbytery (including St. Luke's Sally Hill), Anne Frank, Jane Goodall, Josie Johnson (MN), Nellie Stone Johnson (MN), Winona LaDuke, Mother Teresa, women mystics and peacemaker pioneers, Rosa Parks (books on CD), Peace Pilgrim, Eleanor Roosevelt, and German theologian Dorothee Soelle.
Check out is for three weeks. Just sign the library card and put it in the little black caddy on the counter. And then please return the item to the black bin just inside the library door within that time frame.
