Full Time Head of Staff

Description:

The new St. Luke Head staff will be a solo pastor responsible for leading the Minister of Music & Worship and the Communications Manager with a commitment to collaboration and empowerment. The new pastor will be expected to: 

  • Provide thought-provoking, inspirational, and challenging sermons consistent with St. Luke's progressive theological values

  • Lead innovative, energizing, joyful, and relevant worship experiences

  • Provide leadership for social justice activities

  • Devise and pursue strategies to attract new members

  • Empower and train staff and laity to fulfill the goals of the church

  • Nurture intergenerational activities

  • Coordinate pastoral care

Minimum salary - $82,000 including housing allowance.

  • Inspirational preacher

  • Committed to progressive liberation theology

  • Inclusive style - comfortable with diversity of all kinds

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to delegate and prioritize

  • Effective boundary management

  • Relates well with children and youth

  • Excellent written and spoken communication
