St. Luke is a church community guided more by its commitment to peace, justice, and healing than by doctrines and dogmas. The great teachings of scripture, history, and tradition guide us, but do not confine us lest we miss the ever- present Spirit which continually calls and challenges us to walk faithfully and humbly with God. We welcome all who are seeking wholeness and peace in their spiritual journeys at whatever place they find themselves along the way.

We believe that we are a different kind of church making a difference in our community and our world.  In our life together as a faith community, we:

are dedicated to giving and working beyond the church

 seek justice locally and globally

are engaged in peacemaking and non-violence

 use inclusive and healing language

welcome and affirm fully of LGBT persons

 are committed to progressive Christianity

work for environmental awareness and responsiblity

The St. Luke Visioning Group currently is preparing a new statement about St. Luke's vision, commitments, and beliefs.  This statement will guide our worship, community building, commitments, and outreach for many years.
